5 Productive things to do during the quarantine

Hey guys, now that we have been locked down at home 24*7. Lets make the most of this time. Below are a few tips I try to follow to make the most of this difficult situation.

1. LEARN NEW THINGS

This could be any new things that you always wanted to learn but have not been getting the time. Few examples for me are crochet, trading options or even some helpful course over coursera/udemy/youtube that would help me with my current work or a skill for the future or even just as a hobby. Doing one productive thing per day can lead to a more positive attitude. Set your sights on long-avoided tasks, reorganize, or create something you’ve always wanted to. Approaching this time with a mindset of feeling trapped or stuck will only stress you out more. This is your chance to slow down and focus on yourself.

2. COOKING

Make a great YouTube recipe reality and create a meal to be proud of. It’s a good idea to stock up on pasta, rice, canned vegetables, and spices so that more recipes are within reach. For those who like to cook, this is a great opportunity to try out new cuisines or make specialty recipes. For those who don’t really cook, its a good time to try to learn atleast the basics in case of any worst case global situation. For me, I do like to cook if I have the time and I am not overwhelmed with going to office, work and traveling. So this has been the best time and I have been cooking daily.

3. NETWORK WITH PEOPLE

As the above quote says, having a good relation with people is always a positive thing and would always be an asset. Lots of people are working from home and will be for the foreseeable future. The COVID-19 pandemic actually provides a great opportunity to check in with people who perhaps you’ve been meaning to talk to. You can ask them how they’re doing, if they’re working from home, what the situation looks like wherever they’re at.

4. WORKOUT AND STAY FIT

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed many of us to self-isolate and practice social distancing, but this should not prevent us from staying active. Exercising at home and maintaining (or developing) an active lifestyle is an important part of keeping both your body and your mind healthy.

5. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR LOVED ONES

In the ever going struggle between work and personal life, the former always wins! It is quite normal that you are working from home while in lockdown, but there is still so much time that you will be spending with your family at the end of the day.
It is also the right time to get in touch with your friends via facetime. So, instead of stressing over the fact that you are cut off from the world, you could take it as a break and spend it with your close ones.

Hope these tips helped you get some new ideas or motivation to stay positive through this time. Would love to know your thoughts too!
Stay Home, stay safe.
