My little munchkin is Two! Since she has been loving sea creatures and to introduce mermaid’s to her, we had a Sea themed birthday. We celebrated at home with our closest relatives and did almost all decor and many treats ourselves. Aria totally enjoyed the whole process of setting everything up with us <3
We celebrated her birthday for the entire week with presents each day. Below was the backdrop set up we had for those days. We designed it and got a vinyl print in 2*6. Additionally got the beautiful sea shells and corals set that match the colors perfectly.
Sharing all the deets for the main event below:
THE CAKE
I designed this one to include the turtle, sea horse and octopus to match the backdrop we selected. We gave a custom order to a baker who did her 1st birthday cake too. Even though her birthday included mermaids, we didn’t want that to be the focus hence there were none on the cake and main backdrop.
THE DECOR
A. Backdrop
We got this from Lofaris Backdrop. This design is almost the same as they have available. We just customized the “Aria” font and size. They have tons of designs and you can customize almost anything once you pick a design. Also the can easily be thrown in the washer and reused.
B. Balloons
We wanted them to be in the shades of Sea Green, Blue and a hint of Pink. Purchased the arch kit of Greens and Blues. Additionally got a few pinks and mini clear ones to add on. We did the arch ourselves and topped with a few flowers to make it more aesthetic.
C. Table Set Up
We got a beautiful blue water themed table cloth and topped it with a fishnet runner and sea creature cutouts. On the bottom we we added a blue tulle table skirt that matched the blues on the table. Also on the table we put a few paper oysters which were absolutely beautiful.
They were not captured in the pictures much as they were a little high up. But they sure added a nice touch to the sea theme.
ARIA’s Dress
We found the perfect dress for her on The Little Factory. It has beautiful shades of blue and pink which was exactly what I was looking for. We paired it with a cute tiara hair clip and white sandals.
THE TREATS
A. Cupcakes
We got these from the baker who made her cake. I gave her the design and colors and she incorporated it so well
B. Cakesicles and Cake Filled Geo Boxes
I made these at home as my order for this unfortunately was canceled by the seller 4 days before the event. I have a tutorial on how I made the Cakisicles. The procedure for the Geo boxes is the same too. They surprisingly turned out so well and looked beautiful.
C. Chocolate Filled Oreos
These were also home made. They look really beautiful and are the easiest and quickest to make.
D. Chocolate dipped Marshmallows
We got the new cookies and cream filled marshmallows. Dipped them in a blue with white textures candy melts and sprinkles on top. Attached different sea creatures on the top to match the theme.
E. Personalized Hershey Bars
We made the template for this that matched our backdrop and made covers for Hershey bars to add a touch of personalization.
HER GIFT
She got a Bentley Trike in Jetstream Blue. She absolutely loves it.
FAVOR BOXES
We distributed her birthday favor boxes in her daycare. Got these cure rainbow colored boxes from amazon. I wanted the boxes to have a mix of play and healthy treats only. Each box had a Cocomelon themed mini play kit, Plum Organics snack pack, Happy Tot organic Blueberry bar and 1 wind up bath toy.
